First published in 1998, the Starchefs Cookbook is a collection of the Top British Michelin Star Chefs of the time, with their signature recipes.

Put together by artist Richard Bramble who spent three years painting in each of their kitchens, getting to know the chefs and winning their trust in this unique collaboration.

Each chapter is on a chef, with paintings of their kitchens, dishes and restaurants. As well as wine bottle and ingredient studies which tie in with recipes. The ingredient studies formed the inspiration for the existing fish, shellfish, ingredient, animal and gamebird ceramic ranges. It was whilst painting Gordon Ramasy's kitchen that he was asked to create his first dress procelain plate based around the aubergine design for his restaurant.

2 editions in hardback and 1 paperback edition were printed and sold out within a few years. These few hardback copies that are available are second hand but in good condition.
